All aspects of your life are focused on service to others. As the overseer of the PPL GED program, you have worked with hundreds of appreciative students on their GED exams. Even more important than your academic assistance are the heart qualities you offer your students—compassion, patience, and wisdom. They are very thankful to you, as are the employees you assist with the Bank Skills and Punch Press programs. But your passion for service does not stop with PPL. Many community programs, such as the Science Museum and the Anoka County parks and school systems, have benefited from your determination to make the world a better place. And in your time off, you and your wife still work with foster children.
All this work is done purely as an expression of the generosity in your heart, without a hint of a personal agenda or hope of recognition or reward. This way of acting right from the heart is the quality that Sullivan Ballou exemplified. We honor you today for your work, but we also learn from you. You teach us that heart energy is what matters. We are inspired by your example.Congratulations!
